How donation money is spent

The numbers are in! Our Treasurer just finished writing her financial report for 2019 and we are very excited to announce that 2019 was our best year yet – all thanks to YOU.

Through Facebook fundraisers, Kroger Community Awards, Amazon Smile donations, SAR fundraisers, and of course your direct donations we raised $23,976.01 to help animals in need. Nearly $13,000 went toward spaying/neutering, vetting, microchipping, vaccinating, and medicating dogs and cats that came into the rescue.

Here is a breakdown of how your donations were spent:

• Vet means any veterinary bills we paid, including surgeries, check-ups, emergencies, spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, etc.
• Food/Supplies includes food we bought for any animals with special diets (looking at you, Kelani), crates for our fosters, harnesses, collars, potty pads, etc.
• Boarding is for when we are unable to find a foster.
• Our operating costs include insurance, 501c3 registration, and items we need throughout the year to keep us functioning.
• Fundraiser includes the money we spent to put on our wonderful events throughout the year, as well as to buy items we sell such as t-shirts.
